Next is the All Marine Trials and the Armed Forces Invitational that will be held at MCAS Cherry Point, NC.
Marines must fit the required pre-requisite before competing in the Armed Forces Invitational:
- Possess a certified Kukkiwon Black Belt
- Be a member of USA Taekwondo
- Possess an updated Passport
If the Marine do not have any of these, he or she may not participate.

TRAINING SCHEDULE
Service members aboard Camp LeJeune and surrounding areas can be members of the team regardless if you have a belt or not.
We meet three days a week; Mon, Wed, and Fri, at 6:00 p.m.
Mondays, Wednesdays, and, Fridays we meet at Camp LeJeune's Famous Boxing Gym. This facility at G Street and McHugh Ave, not far from the Circle. Training goes from one to two hours and occasionally on Saturdays.
If you are a Marine and Stationed other than Camp LeJeune/Cherry Point, you may check to see if your duty station has a program that supports USA Taekwondo (USAT) or the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF). If there are no programs on base, then you may find school, or dojang in your area. You may go to the USA Taekwondo website: www.usa-taekwondo.us and click "clubs" on the left-hand side and you will see the U.S. map. Point to your state and there may be a club near you.
If you are an reservist, you too can try out for the All Marine Trails. Just look out for the message All Marine Taekwondo Trails and ensure that you fit the prerquisites for competing.
FEES?
There are no fees to join, however, the practioner is responsible of purchasing their uniform (dobok in Korean) and other equipment required for competition. The dobok and other equipment can be purchased from the instructor and staff. The minimum value of $125.00.
Non-black belters must go through a regular training curriculum to obtain his'/her's black belt. Testing comes at a cost. If the participant has a belt from another school or discipline, he/she must bring their promotion certificate. He/she will be able to maintain their rank/grade. The non-black belters will be able to compete in local, state, and national tournaments.
Black belt members must meet the following requirements to qualify in the military trails and compete in the CISM:
- Be a member of USA Taekwondo (USAT) (http://usa-taekwondo.us)
- Must have a Kukkiwon Black Belt Certificate
- Possess an updated passport
All athletes participating in Amature Athletic Union (AAU)Taekwondo (www.aautaekwondo.org) sanctioned tournaments must be of members of this organization.
